• All players (under the age of 18) must have permission from a parent/guardian to participate in online meetings and training sessions.

• All players must wear appropriate clothing during online meetings and training sessions.

​

• When participating in online meetings and training sessions, all players must try to be in an open, communal room/space within the house or garden. If this is not possible, and a bedroom is more suitable, the door must be left open.

​

• All players will be required to have their video function working, so that we can see who is in front of the camera at all times.

​

• All players aged 11 and under must have a parent/guardian present during online meetings and training sessions.

​

• All of Welwyn Pegasus’ safeguarding policies apply as they would during normal training and matches, including use of appropriate language and behaviour.

​

• All of Welwyn Pegasus’ protocols for reporting an incident are the same as they would be during normal training and matches. Coaches will also be made aware of procedures to report anything they witness on a camera. Scenarios could include;

  • A child inappropriately dressed.

  • A child that makes inappropriate comments on camera or makes a disclosure on camera.

  • Anything else they witness that causes concerns regarding abuse (including, but not limited to; the behaviour of another individual in the home that is witnessed on camera, something you can see in the room that raises a safeguarding concern (such as drug paraphernalia).
